100% electric motorcycle powered by a 48V system. Valeo is a pioneer and world leader in 48V systems that pave the way for the cost-effective electrification of vehicles. Valeo’s 48V systems are particularly well suited to new forms of mobility, such as small urban vehicles, electric bicycles, or delivery robots.

The third generation LiDAR scanner is set to hit the market in 2024. Its primary role will be to improve road safety. This Valeo LiDAR scanner uses laser beams to detect at a distance of more than 200 meters what the human eye, a camera, or a radar cannot see. It identifies everything on the road. It even evaluates the density of raindrops and calculates the braking distance accordingly. It uses algorithms to anticipate where the other vehicles on the road are going and make the necessary maneuvers. It is uniquely capable of seeing and understanding what is around it in its environment. This makes it possible to delegate driving, even at speeds of up to 130 km/h on the highway. In addition to feeding information to the vehicle in which it is installed, this LiDAR will alert other vehicles of road hazards via the Cloud.

Near Field LiDAR is used in driverless self-driving vehicles—such as delivery droids or robotaxis—to maintain a safety zone around the vehicle. As soon as the vehicle is activated, it gets an immediate 360° view so that it can move around without bumping into pedestrians or any other obstacle. Installed in a car with highly automated driving systems. It provides a lateral view backed up by the vision of other sensors. Changing lanes, especially in self-driving mode, will then be done in complete safety, since there will be no blind spots.

Valeo VoyageXR Panorama offers a drone-eye view… without the drone. This technology displays on a screen a 360° three-dimensional view of your car as it moves along the road, as if it were being filmed from overhead by a drone. And because it is Internet-connected, from anywhere in the world, your loved ones can check out a 360-degree augmented-reality view of your vehicle’s surroundings. All they need is a tablet device to display and control the view from the “drone” flying above your car.

Safe Insight can identify the driver and alert them if they are showing signs of distraction or drowsiness, detect the presence of passengers on board and remind them, if necessary, to fasten their seat belts, or give an alert if a child is left on board.
