Shareholders' Meeting 2008 Lord Jay of Ewelme
Permanent Under-Secretary of the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 2002 to 2006. In this role he was Head of the Diplomatic Service. He was British Ambassador to Paris from 1996 to 2001. He joined the Foreign Office in 1981 having spent twelve years in the Ministry of Overseas Development. In June 2005 he was in charge, for the British Prime Minister, of the preparation of the G8 Gleneagles Summit on climate change.
