Lane Departure Warning System

Its partnership with Valeo has led to the development of a Lane Departure Warning System for passenger cars, in which a miniature camera and an image processing application continuously monitor the lane markings ahead of the vehicle and warn the driver of any unintentional lane departure.

Ricardo and Valeo have developed the i-MoGen demonstrator. i-MoGen is a diesel mild-hybrid vehicle featuring a Ricardo high output downsized diesel engine and a Valeo 42 Volt integrated starter-alternator and thermal systems. This combination offers around 25% less fuel consumption and emissions.
