Significant events

To the best of the Company’s knowledge, the main shareholders were Pardus Investment Sàrl*(19.75% of share capital and 19.22% of voting rights), Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (7.07% of share capital and 6.88% of voting rights), the Caisse des Dépôts et consignations Group (5.99% of share capital and 8.39% of voting rights), Brandes Investment Partners LP (4.57% of share capital and 4.44% of voting rights), Morgan Stanley & Co. International (3.77% of share capital and 3.67% of voting rights), M&G Investment Management Ltd (2.28% of share capital and 2.21% of voting rights), Franklin Resources, Inc. (2.25% of share capital and 2.19% of voting rights) and AQR Capital Management, LLC (2.02% of share capital and 1.97% of voting rights).

At 31 October 2008, Valeo held 2,333,832 of its own shares (2.98% of share capital, without voting rights) compared to 1,672,470 shares at 30 June 2008 (2.1% of share capital).
