Valeo Compressors contributes to the Powertrain Efficiency Domain with innovations such as:

• the R744 Compressor, a key component in the next generation of air conditioning systems which will use the natural and environmentally friendly CO2 coolant.

This Product Family also develops and produces the following products:

  Valeo has long been a leader in environmental protection. In 1991, the Group halted the use of ozone-damaging CFC12 refrigerant, replacing it with the more environmentally friendly HFC-134a. More recent innovations include technologies for reduced fuel consumption, next generation refrigerants and electric vehicles. The Product Family develops a variety of compressors to meet these needs.

  Valeo is developing compressors to reduce environment-damaging CO2 emissions by calculating air-conditioner fuel consumption via analysis of exhaust gases. Both internally and externally controlled compressors are being developed, as well as compressors using the next generation environmentally friendly refrigerant.
