Online reverse auctions

An easy way for suppliers to evaluate their pricing compared to the market and rapidly increase their business with Valeo.

With online bidding, Valeo's suppliers can immediately evaluate their pricing as compared to the market and take part to worldwide business awards. These auctions also enable them to rapidly increase their business with Valeo.

For both Valeo and its customers, online reverse auctions have become a customary way of attributing new projects.

Only suppliers that are selected and validated by Valeo can bid. If you are already a Valeo supplier, get ready to enter the competition!

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

SRM is an extranet portal that enables Valeo to better integrate its suppliers in its processes. Two modules are currently available: IMS, or Incident Management System, and Scorecard (performance follow-up).

The Incident Management System - (IMS)

The main purpose of IMS is to speed up the solving of problems concerning Supplier Quality. IMS comprises three main steps, based on the QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) approach.

IMS is a tool shared by all Valeo plants and all suppliers. It is used to manage all quality incidents that arise in production and to optimize collaboration between Valeo and its suppliers.

Scorecard monitoring

Scorecards allow suppliers to monitor their own quality performance and productivity. They have global visibility of their main quality indicators (number of recurrent C1*'s and level of C3M**).

This system encourages suppliers to develop ideas and make proposals to Valeo for increasing their productivity in keeping with the goals of the Convergence program: technical changes, optimization of logistics and packaging, changes of materials, optimization of manufacturing processes, etc.

* C1: A supplier quality incident that reaches the factory of Valeo's customer (our end customer).
** C3M: Total number of incidents that occurred during the past three months.

e-procurement

Valeo offers all its factories worldwide catalogues of standard overheads supplies and services accessible on the Internet.

Valeo offers online catalogues combining selected standard overheads supplies and services.

These catalogues are accessible to all Valeo factories worldwide and offer immediate access to the most used supplies, recorded in electronic form.

Orders for these supplies can be completed online entirely, in a view to a better integration with our suppliers' ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, making procurement process more fluid and more economical for both parties.

With e-procurement, products and services on offer have greater visibility, and our suppliers have better access to all Valeo factories.
