The competence center for the development and production of electric motors and integrated drive systems for hybrid and electric cars is located in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, where around 470 employees are currently working on the future of electric mobility for the Powertrain Systems Business Group. Future trends in the field of electric mobility for high-voltage electric motors are being researched. In addition, innovations for electric motor components are being developed in the Powertrain Electrified Mobility Product Group at the Bad Neustadt site. Furthermore, the testing and validation of electric motors and integrated drive systems takes place on a new, state-of-the-art test field. Electric motors can be thoroughly tested and validated at various stations (motor test bench, system test bench, climate chambers, shakers, etc.). Another focus area at the site is the fault analysis of products as well as the production of prototypes and small series in prototype construction.

Working in Bad Neustadt

Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale has more than 15.300 inhabitants and is located in the district of Rhön-Grabfeld in Lower Franconia. The town has a long history. There is a mention of Bad Neustadt from 1232. An old wooden town wall found during excavations suggests that Bad Neustadt has existed since 1200. Today, the town is the first model town for electric mobility in Bavaria, making it the ideal location for Valeo.

Thanks to its location on the edge of the hilly Bavarian Rhön Nature Park, Bad Neustadt offers a high quality of life. The numerous day trips are ideal for ambitious cyclists/mountain bikers, hikers, nature and landscape lovers.
