Did you know that it will soon be compulsory in the United States for self-driving cars to have a rear-seat occupant alert system? In order for no one to be left behind in a stationary car, we showcased a Life-Presence Detection solution at #CES2018 that detects whether the car is occupied when the engine is off. Sensors in the vehicle cabin identify the number, location and morphology of people present. If someone is left behind in the car, the technology triggers a sound and light alarm, and sends a message to the user’s smartphone. #SelfDriveAct
