The Self Drive Act passed by the US House of Representatives in September 2017 includes a proposal that would soon make it compulsory for self-driving cars in the United States to feature a rear-seat occupant alert system. That is why at CES 2018, we showcased a solution that detects whether the car is occupied when the engine is off.
