High-voltage solutions, above 60 Volts, are used to motorize hybrid, rechargeable hybrid and 100%-electric multi-purpose vehicles that can be used in cities and on highways. Founded in 2016, the Valeo Siemens eAutomotive co-enterprise develops and produces the full range of 100%-electric drive system solutions, from motors, to the motor control electronics (UPS), and the system that integrates these two solutions with a gearbox. In addition to the drive system itself, the Valeo Siemens eAutomotive co-enterprise also produces the onboard battery charger and the DC/DC converter that powers the vehicle’s accessories.
In 2020, Valeo Siemens eAutomotive launched a number of series-produced products, including UPSs, onboard battery chargers and complete drive trains (motor, UPS and gearbox). Since 2021, Valeo Siemens eAutomotive equip a 100%-electric SUV, produced by a range-topping carmaker, with the most powerful version of its integrated system (motor, UPS and gearbox).
