  R-744 Standard Heat Pump

  Valeo is strongly committed to sustainable development and environmental protection: it was the first equipment supplier to promote R-744 Standard Heat Pump (natural refrigerant), winning a PACE Award in 2017 for this innovative technology. (PACE: Premier Automotive Suppliers’ Contribution to Excellence).

  R-744 (CO₂) Refrigerant has a significantly lower climate impact than fluorinated refrigerants (R-134a or R-1234yf). It also offers more power and efficiency at extreme cold temperatures (-18°C) thanks to its thermodynamic properties. It is the most efficient way of heating an electric vehicle in cold conditions.

  Pixelated Reading Lights

  Car interior reading lights are designed to provide-accent lighting for passengers.

  Pixelated reading lights are a solution that comprises several LED sources and delivers an adapted beam, customised to provide just the right amount of light for an enhanced onboard experience and a home-like atmosphere.

  The light temperature can also be adjusted (mix of warm and cold whites) to ensure optimized lighting.

  Brushless Motor

  A brushless motor is an electric motor that runs on direct current (DC) and does not have mechanical brushes.

  With the lowest noise (43 dBA), weight (710g), packaging (819 cm³) and best EMC (Class 5) for a wiper motor, Valeo’s Brushless Motor is available as reversible.

  Valeo offers a full range of torques for passenger vehicles (33-43Nm) and trucks and buses (45Nm).

  Large Battery Liquid Cooler for EV

  High voltage batteries are expensive and very sensitive to temperature variations even when the vehicle is stopped and the battery is being charged. Valeo designs and manufactures compact and cost-competitive solutions (refrigerant, liquid and air cooling) to cater for all types of powertrains: hybrids in Japan and the U.S.; plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and full electric (EV) elsewhere. For PHEVs, Valeo full exchanger solution on refrigerant is serial since 2015. For EVs, Valeo offers ultra-performing liquid battery coolers for prismatic and cylindrical Li-ion battery packs (China, the U.S. and Europe).

  The reducer, also named gear reducer or speed reducer, is a solution to adjust the number of revolutions of the electric motor and convey those revolutions to the vehicle’s wheels.
