Whistleblowing Procedure

Upon submission of a report, the Platform automatically generates a secure inbox, enabling the designated Authorized persons to acknowledge receipt in compliance with the required timeframe, and to communicate securely with the Reporting person. This person may choose to remain completely anonymous. 

The authorized team then assesses the admissibility of the report against the scope of the policy, consistent with the applicable regulation. If the report is not admissible, it is closed and the reporting person is informed accordingly. If the report is admissible, an Investigator, competent, independent, objective and neutral is appointed to conduct an investigation, in a strictly professional and confidential manner. 

As part of this Investigation, potential witnesses and Reported persons are interviewed subject to a Confidentiality statements. Once the Investigation is concluded, the case is resolved based on objective findings, and if a breach is proven, Valeo applies its “zero tolerance” approach by taking appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions. 

Throughout this entire process, Valeo ensures that Investigation data is strictly safeguarded, and the Reporting person, the Reported person and all Contributors are protected against any form of retaliation.
