Press Kit: Valeo innovations at the 2022 “Mondial de l’Auto”

From October 17 to 23, Valeo will be present at the 89th “Mondial de l’Auto” [Motor Show] in Paris. The only international motor show being held in Europe in 2022 and one of the largest in the world, it will showcase an industry at the forefront of innovation and progress.

Never has the mobility industry experienced a combination of such seismic upheavals at the same time. Four major changes are taking place: the electrification of vehicles is gaining ground everywhere and is accelerating; driver assistance systems (ADAS) are booming; vehicle onboard intelligence is developing rapidly; and lighting is undergoing a profound transformation to offer more and more new features.

In these four areas, Valeo is both a technological and industrial leader. The Group has anticipated these profound changes by investing in Research and Development (over 10% of its original equipment sales) each year to be able to provide meaningful and sustainable solutions today. Valeo is innovating so rapidly that, in the first half of 2022, 65% of the Group’s order intake was for products that didn’t exist three years ago.

Move Up: 4 growth levers to ACCELERATE

Valeo will continue its race to innovate. Unveiled at the beginning of 2022, Valeo’s Move Up strategic plan draws on the sustainable mobility megatrends to sketch out a long-term value creation strategy and capitalize on the growth taking place in these markets.

Growth opportunities:

  • 2025: 27.5 billion euros in sales
  • 2030: 40 billion euros in sales

Since unveiling its strategic plan, Valeo has posted record order intake in a number of strategic areas relating to electrification and ADAS, demonstrating that its acceleration is well underway.

At this year’s “Mondial de l’Auto”, Valeo’s stand will showcase four innovations from across all four of the Group’s strategic pillars.
