Valeo Unveils Safety-Enhancing Advanced Monitoring Applications Powered by Seeing Machines at CES 2026
Paris / Canberra — January 5, 2026 — Valeo, a global leader in the automotive industry, and Seeing Machines, the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, today announced that their joint In-Cabin Monitoring Solutions (ICMS) for driver and occupant applications will be featured across several Valeo demonstrations at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
By combining Valeo’s leadership in full system design, integration and application development with Seeing Machines’ advanced perception capabilities, the partnership delivers a best-in-class, fully integrated interior sensing solution aligned with upcoming safety regulations and growing global demand.
Marc Vrecko, CEO at Valeo Brain Division, added: “By combining Valeo’s expertise in full system design, integration and app development with Seeing Machines’ advanced perception technology, this collaboration delivers the key applications needed to meet new safety regulations and rising market demand. What we’re showcasing at CES 2026 proves that advanced monitoring—whether gaze-based alerts, full interior analysis or even helmet detection—creates immediate value for carmakers and real protection for drivers and riders.”
Paul McGlone, CEO at Seeing Machines, commented: “We are proud to continue our close collaboration with Valeo and to integrate our industry-leading ICMS software into their impressive technology demonstrations at CES. We are committed to bringing best-in-class automotive in-cabin experiences to the market and to achieving our purpose of getting everyone home safely. Combining Seeing Machines’ advanced software and hardware embedding capabilities with Valeo’s superb system design expertise will ensure we are better placed to win more production programs together as regulation in Europe comes into force and OEMs continue to compete on the global stage.”
With safety as a top priority, Valeo utilizes Seeing Machines’ Driver and Occupant Monitoring System (DMS/OMS) features across multiple applications bringing safety and convenience features to car manufacturers and ultimately, drivers. Seeing Machines will support Valeo by integrating its ICMS software, expanding classic driver-monitoring functions to include gaze tracking to determine whether the driver has identified a detected hazard, as well as helmet-wearing detection for two-wheelers.
These capabilities will be deployed across three different SoCs, demonstrating multi-platform integration capability. Demonstration at CES 2026 will include:
- Valeo Panovision head up display featuring an adaptive warning system based on gaze tracking
- Valeo Safe InSight demonstration vehicle presenting a multi layer approach to driver and interior monitoring
- A SmartCluster Helmet Detection for 2-Wheelers enabling the detection of the absence of a helmet before the ride begins
These demonstrations can be viewed at the Valeo booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Central Plaza, Booth #145, and via appointment in the Piero’s parking lot, close to the LVCC West Hall.
