Fabienne Lecorvaisier’s biography

Independent Director – Member of the Audit and Risks Committee

Fabienne Lecorvaisier would, in particular, bring to the Board of Directors the experience she has gained through her various roles, both in France and abroad, within international industrial groups, her expertise as a Chief Financial Officer, as well as her experience and skills, particularly in the areas of strategy, M&A, financial transactions, information systems, energy transition and sustainable development, as well as risk management.

Fabienne Lecorvaisier began her career in 1985 at Société Générale, in the Corporate Finance department and then in the Mergers and Acquisitions department.

In 1989, she joined Barclays Bank as an authorised signatory, in charge of the LBO department (Paris)/Corporate Finance (Paris-London). In 1990, she became Assistant General Manager of the Banque du Louvre (Taittinger group).

In September 1993, she joined the Essilor Group as Development Director. In January 1996, she was appointed as Finance and Information Systems Director of Essilor America, before becoming, in January 2001, Chief Financial Officer of the Essilor Group, and then in January 2007, Chief Strategy and Acquisitions Officer of the Essilor Group.

In 2008, Fabienne Lecorvaisier joined the Air Liquide group, where she was Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2021. Until May 2023, she serves as Associate Chief Executive Officer in charge of Sustainable Development, Public and International Affairs as well as societal programs, being also in charge of Air Liquide’s General Secretariat. She was a member of Air Liquide’s Executive Committee from 2008 to May 2023.

Since May 2021, she has been a member of Safran’s Board of Directors, as well as a member of the Audit and Risks Committee and the Innovation, Technology and Climate Committee. Since June 2023, she has also been a member of Wendel’s Supervisory Board, and sits on the Audit, Risks and Compliance Committee as well as the Governance and Sustainability Committee.

Between 2013 and 2025, she was a member of Sanofi’s Board of Directors and chair of the Audit Committee from May 2018 to May 2024.

Fabienne Lecorvaisier graduated as a civil engineer from the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. She was named Officer of the French Legion of Honour in December 2019.

Fabienne Lecorvaisier is a French citizen and speaks French and English.
