Julie Avrane was a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Paris office from 1999 to July 2020, where she headed the firm’s high-tech industries practice in France (advanced electronics, aerospace and defense, automotive and assembly).
She also co-led the firm’s high-tech skills practice worldwide. Julie Avrane specializes in the high-tech industries, IT services and software sectors. At McKinsey, she mainly dealt with strategy, growth, M&A and post-merger integration issues in cross-border contexts as well as large-scale transformation plans.
Prior to joining McKinsey’s Paris office, Julie Avrane worked as a researcher with Bull Honeywell in the United States in 1993, then with Cogema (Areva) in 1994, and as a business analyst in McKinsey’s London office for two years from 1995 to 1997.
Julie Avrane is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure des télécommunications de Paris and of the Collège des ingénieurs. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD.
