Valeo and MOBILIANS join forces to support the automotive aftermarket revolutions

The two partners have signed a collaboration agreement to pool their expertise and support industry players facing changes in the sector.

Paris, France – October 8, 2025 – Valeo, a specialist in automotive aftermarket services and a global player in mobility technologies, and MOBILIANS, an organization representing the automotive and mobility services industry, announce the signing of a strategic collaboration agreement. Its objective: to support the profound transformation of the automotive aftermarket in the face of environmental and technological upheavals that are reshaping the industry.

Xavier Horent, Executive Director of MOBILIANS, said: “For more than a century, MOBILIANS has been supporting mobility entrepreneurs. With Valeo, we want to give the industry the means to successfully transition and offer motorists an increasingly reliable and sustainable service that is adapted to the uses of tomorrow.”

Christophe Périllat, Chief Executive Officer of Valeo, added: “The aftermarket is undergoing a historic transformation. Through this collaboration, Valeo and MOBILIANS want to bring the industry together around concrete solutions that combine technological innovation and environmental responsibility, serving automotive repair professionals.”

A double revolution for the aftermarket

The aftermarket sector is facing a double revolution. The first is environmental, with the need to build a more sustainable industry through the development of remanufacturing and retrofitting—i.e., the conversion of combustion-engine vehicles to electric vehicles. The second is technological, driven by the growing electrification of the fleet, the rise of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI), and the rise of data from Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

Two areas of collaboration to support the industry

In this context, Valeo and MOBILIANS are joining forces around two priorities:

  • Transforming the industry around the circular economy: the two partners will work to establish an automotive repairability index, implement a label guaranteeing the quality of remanufacturing, measure the environmental impact of remanufactured parts, and promote best practices in electric retrofitting throughout the country.
  • The technological transformation of the aftermarket: the collaboration aims to support the deployment of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, guarantee access to the data essential for tomorrow’s repairs, and support the upskilling of professionals in the face of new technologies, drawing in particular on the innovative Valeo Tech Academy training program in new technologies.

By combining their expertise, Valeo and MOBILIANS intend to offer a clear vision for the future of automotive aftermarket services, supported by concrete actions that benefit all professionals in the sector and motorists.
