At the 21st edition of Auto Shanghai 2025, Valeo reaffirms its strategic role in transforming the automotive industry in China, the world's leading market for electric and connected mobility.
April 14, 2025 – Paris, France – Valeo, a technology company and partner to all automakers and new mobility players worldwide, will be present at Auto Shanghai 2025, from April 23 to May 2 at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center, hall 2.2H, booth 2BC008.
Innovations in four strategic areas
Valeo unveils its cutting-edge solutions that are poised to shape the future of mobility:
- Smart electrification: Valeo maximizes range, comfort, and energy efficiency while simultaneously reducing the carbon footprint. Among the innovations presented in Shanghai are:
- An ultra-compact On-Board Charger and DC-DC Converter Combo ready for bidirectional charging.
- Predict4Range software, which can boost range by up to 24%.
- The Ineez™ Air Charging wireless charging solution, presented for the first time in China.
- ADAS and user experience: With the latest-generation sensors, embedded intelligence, and advanced software, Valeo is accelerating the development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs), enhancing assisted driving and the onboard experience. Highlights include:
- A world-first LiDAR Cleaning system.
- The third-generation LiDAR, Valeo SCALA™ 3, which offers high precision.
- Valeo Racer, an extended reality (XR) gaming experience presented to the Chinese public for the first time.
- Lighting and styling: Valeo is redefining lighting as a means of enhancing safety, identity, and emotional connection. The Group’s solutions blend technological innovation with design to enrich the driving experience and strengthen brand differentiation in China. Key offerings include:
- Front lighting systems equipped in the Lynk & Co Z10 and the Zeekr 7X.
- OLED 2.0 rear lights deployed on the Audi A6 e-tron.
- Dynamic interior lighting featured in the cabin of the Lynk & Co Z20.
- Solutions for sensor integration and onboard video projection.
- Valeo is committed to advancing sustainable mobility through the circular economy, eco-innovation, and training. The group introduces its remanufacturing offer, innovations with Valeo Canopy™ (the first eco-designed windshield wiper blade).

Valeo, a key player in China’s automotive industry
China is in the process of redefining the future of mobility: by 2025, sales of electric vehicles are expected to exceed those of internal combustion models. Against this backdrop of accelerated innovation, Valeo is a key player in this historic transition.
Valeo has been in China since 1994. With 27 production sites, 13 R&D centers and over 18,000 employees – including 4,500 engineers – Valeo has forged solid partnerships throughout the Chinese automotive industry, with both established leaders and new players in the sector. In 2024, Chinese automakers accounted for 60% of the Group’s orders in China, which is now its largest market worldwide, accounting for 17% of total sales.
