Top Employer 2016: Valeo Awarded “Global Top Employer” Certification for Second Year Running
Paris, France, February 26th, 2016 – Valeo has once again been certified as a “Global Top Employer”. This distinction, launched in 2015, is awarded to companies in recognition of their effective human resources management practices and policy. The Group has also been certified as a “Top Employer Europe 2016” and “Top Employer France 2016” for the fifth year running. And it stands in third place in the rankings for France.
Top Employer certification for responsible HR management policies
The “Global Top Employer” label is awarded only to multinational companies certified individually in at least 20 countries on several continents.
Valeo is certified on five continents and in 22 countries – including the Czech Republic for the first time this year – and is one of only eight companies worldwide to be designated “Global Top Employer”.
Recruiting and training personnel year-round at all its sites in 29 host countries, the Group pursues a human resources policy based on team motivation and excellence. In 2015, 97.4% of employees followed at least one training course enabling them to build individual career paths at Group entities.
Top Employer Europe and Top Employer Asia-Pacific
The Group has also been certified “Top Employer Europe” and “Top Employer Asia-Pacific”, with 12 countries singled out in Europe (Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom) and five in Asia-Pacific (China, India, Japan, South Korea and Thailand).
The other countries that earned a distinction are Egypt and Tunisia in Africa; and Brazil, the United States and Mexico in the Americas.
Top Employer: a global certification
Top Employer 2016 certification is awarded to organizations demonstrating best practices in human resources, particularly talent attraction and development, compensation and benefits, and training and skills development.
The Top Employer label is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, a specialized institution that identifies and certifies organizations offering outstanding human resources policies to employees.
