Valeo and holoride Expand Partnership to Scale Extended Reality Gaming in Vehicles
Valeo and holoride partnership accelerates the global rollout and scaling of in-vehicle extended reality gaming experiences for passengers.
The collaboration leverages Valeo's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems sensor suite and algorithms, combined with holoride's Spatial Intelligence technology, to create motion-synchronized, environment-aware gaming.
New Content and Live Demos at Auto China 2026
April 24, 2026 – Beijing, China – Valeo, a global leader in automotive technology, and holoride, the pioneer in in-vehicle extended reality, today announced the expansion of their partnership at Auto China 2026, accelerating the rollout of extended reality (XR) gaming experiences for passengers worldwide.
Following the initial unveiling of their collaboration at CES 2026, the two companies are now focusing on scaling a growing portfolio of in-car extended reality content – bringing immersive, motion-synchronized gaming experiences into production vehicles across global markets.
By combining Valeo’s advanced sensor technologies with holoride’s real-time spatial intelligence, the partnership enables games that seamlessly integrate the physical world into gameplay – transforming travel time into interactive entertainment.
“Through our partnership with holoride, combining our world-class ADAS expertise with their Spatial Experience Software Development Kit (SDK), Valeo Racer is redefining the in-car experience,” said Marc Vrecko, CEO of Valeo Brain Division. “This venture proves that our ADAS and AI technologies — originally developed for driver assistance and safety — are now an innovation engine for new forms of entertainment and comfort. This is a major step for Valeo, positioning our technology at the core of a more human, engaging, and connected mobility.”
“We are moving from first launches to scaling a full content portfolio,” said Nils Wollny, Co-Founder and CEO of holoride. “Together with Valeo, we are making extended reality gaming in the car ready for mass adoption – bringing immersive,
motion-synchronized experiences to passengers around the world.”
Scaling the Extended Reality Gaming Portfolio
At Auto China 2026 (April 24 – May 3), holoride and Valeo are showcasing the next step of their partnership: the expansion of their extended reality gaming portfolio with new titles and enhanced customization capabilities for automakers.
Visitors can experience these innovations firsthand at Valeo booth (#B2D01) and holoride booth (#W1B22). At the holoride stand, attendees can also register for exclusive live driving demonstrations, where extended reality content is experienced inside a moving vehicle – fully synchronized with real-world driving conditions.
This portfolio expansion is powered by the combination of Valeo’s world-leading Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and holoride’s Spatial Intelligence technology.
Valeo’s suite of cameras, radars, and AI-driven perception algorithms builds a real-time digital twin of the environment around the vehicle, while holoride’s Spatial Perception Engine interprets real-time vehicle motion and environmental data to create a synchronized digital layer that informs the game content in real-time. holoride’s Spatial Experience SDK enables developers and OEMs to build adaptive, motion- and location-aware gaming experiences tailored to their brands and customers.
Together, these technologies enable a scalable ecosystem for extended reality gaming – bringing new levels of immersion, comfort, and personalization to in-car entertainment on the go. These new experiences increase the value of the sensors that are already onboard.
While the current focus is on expanding the extended reality gaming portfolio, holoride and Valeo see significant long-term potential for spatially-aware in-car experiences beyond gaming – laying the foundation for a broader category of applications powered by real-time environmental understanding.
From First Launch to Portfolio Expansion
The expanded partnership builds on a key milestone achieved just weeks ago: the launch of R:Racing, an extended reality racing game introduced in the newly launched Renault Filante, Renault Korea’s latest flagship vehicle.
Originally unveiled as the Valeo Racer concept at “South by Southwest® (SXSW) in 2024, “R:Racing” is the world’s first XR gaming experience fully integrated into a production vehicle, leveraging existing vehicle sensors, cameras, compute hardware, and software intelligence. By using real-time vehicle data and live environmental perception, the system seamlessly blends virtual gameplay with the real world, creating an immersive and motion-synchronized experience for passengers. Utilizing the real world environment as backdrop turns every single play into an unique experience. Another key benefit is the drastic improvement of motion sickness sensation compared to standard, not motion-synchronized content.
The game concept is designed for seamless adaptation across brands – opening the door for OEM-specific content and customization. Passengers can access these experiences via in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems or on personal devices such as smartphones and tablets, ensuring flexibility across vehicle platforms and user preferences.
