Valeo and ZEborne simplify charging at work and in apartment buildings with the ‘Autocharge’ function

10 March 2026 – Paris (France) – Valeo, a global leader in automotive technologies, and ZEborne, a specialist in charging solutions in France and the Benelux, announce the integration of the Autocharge function on Ineez Pro Smart charging stations.

The end of badges: a simplified plug-and-play experience

Thanks to the Autocharge feature, user identification becomes completely transparent. Simply plug in the vehicle and the charging session starts automatically. This solution addresses four major challenges for fleet managers and co-owners:

  • Seamless user experience: No need for a mobile app or badge.
  • Operational efficiency: Elimination of interventions related to lost or forgotten badges.
  • Enhanced security: Secure vehicle identification1, drastically reducing the risk of fraud.
  • Transparent management of multiple usage contracts (whether personal or professional).

This innovation for private fleets and co-ownerships is a first in France and will be officially presented at the Flotauto trade show on 12 March at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre (ZEborne Stand C77 at 11:30 a.m.).

Isabelle D’Ambrosio Pierre, Vice President of Valeo Service OES and Vice President of Smart Mobility at Valeo, said: “With the integration of Autocharge into our Ineez Pro Smart charging stations, Valeo is taking a key step towards completely intuitive charging. By making identification transparent, we are offering fleet managers and co-owners a solution that combines absolute comfort and optimal security. This partnership with ZEborne proves that we are anticipating tomorrow’s standards so that plugging in your vehicle becomes the only action required for electric mobility.”

Vartang BEGUIACHVILI, Managing Director of ZEborne France and Benelux: “Since 2011, we have been supporting car manufacturers and equipment suppliers in the development of charging technologies, which is helping to democratise electric vehicles. The technology of Valeo Ineez equipment, combined with ZEborne’s expertise, provides a high level of quality, from installation to intelligent energy management. The innovation brought about by the ‘Autocharge’ feature offers a unique experience with simplified, secure and fully automated charging. This is a first in France and a significant advance in the electric charging station landscape.”

Harmonisation between private and public networks

While the European AFIR regulation requires ISO 15118-2 for Plug & Charge on public charging stations from January 2026, Valeo and ZEborne are anticipating the needs of the private market. This standard establishes a secure digital communication protocol between the vehicle and the charging station, enabling instant authentication of the user’s contract and automatically triggering charging and billing without any manual intervention.

By integrating the Autocharge feature, based on these same automatic identification principles, Valeo and Zeborne are harmonising everyday use. Users benefit from a simplified experience and seamless service continuity, whether they are charging their vehicle at a motorway service station, at work or in their apartment building car park. ZEborne, a Valeo partner since 2023, has integrated the Autocharge function available on Ineez Pro Smart charging stations into its charging station fleet supervision and management solution (ZMS) and is currently rolling out the ecosystem at its sites and among its employees.
