Garching – Customer Interface Office

The Valeo site in Garching serves as a center for project, development and customer activities.

The Valeo office in Garching has only been opened in 2023 in the “Business Campus Garching”. The 80 employees of the project and development team coordinate and control the globally active Valeo teams. In addition, the employees ensure that our customers have a comprehensive consulting and competence team at their side and in close proximity at all times.

Garching is the location for our new Customer Interface Office. On the one hand, we chose this location in order to be able to be directly on site with our renowned customers, and on the other hand, the city is also interesting because it is home to an internationally renowned research campus in the natural sciences and technology.

The focus at the site

• Project Management to support the customer in the comfort and driver assistance area during the offer phase, product development and series production
• Software & System Engineering, Software & System Architecture, Requirements Management and Function Owner to support the customer  
• System test management and implementation on the vehicle, hardware in the loop (HIL) and software in the loop (SIL) to support the customer
• Exchange with universities and colleges in the region

Working in Garching

The city of Garching borders directly on the north of Munich. It is extremely popular with young and old. Due to the internationally renowned research campus, the city is home to approx. 20.000 students in the fields of science and technology.

In terms of area, the city represents the largest commercial area in the Munich district. In addition to numerous excursion destinations such as the Garchinger Lake, which invites you to swim and the Hochbrück recreation area, the town is also known for its traditional arts and crafts market. Another plus point is the convenient location of the city. The A9 motorway can be reached very quickly and Munich Airport can be reached in just fifteen minutes by car. Munich’s Marienplatz is only 20 minutes away by underground.
