Valeo Secures Two GM Supplier of the Year Awards

Fourth Consecutive Award for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Additional Award for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology

May 21, 2026 — Troy, Mich. — For the fourth year in a row, General Motors (GM) recognized Valeo as a Supplier of the Year in the category of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). GM also recognized Valeo for its heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) expertise.

The annual awards celebrate global GM suppliers that exceed requirements and provide customers with innovative technologies and high quality in the automotive industry. Valeo’s streak of four consecutive wins in the ADAS sector and its win for HVAC underscores the company’s ability to deliver innovation, scale and reliability.

“Our ADAS teams are grateful to earn this honor for the fourth consecutive time”, said Valeo North America President Jeffrey Shay. “We value the trust GM places in our ADAS products, and share their vision for a future with zero accidents.”

“I am honored to receive this recognition on behalf of our team in Brazil, where the complete HVAC systems recognized by GM are manufactured for the South American market,” said Mauro Dias, Valeo National Director, Brazil. “It’s a testament to the truly collaborative partnership we’ve established, which is a powerful motivator to continue delivering the high standards GM expects.”

Valeo ADAS technologies assist with driving and parking functions using a network of sensors, including cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors, to create a 360-degree digital map of the vehicle’s surroundings. In alignment with Valeo’s Elevate 2028 strategy, growth is accelerating in North America with technological advances in hardware and software in support of the industry’s transition toward software-defined vehicles.

Valeo HVAC products are critical for health and safety, as they filter out pollutants and ensure adequate air exchange to prevent the buildup of carbon dioxide and moisture. Valeo began operations in Brazil in 1974 and is now one of the largest automotive technology companies in the country.
