In this catalog, Valeo presents a selection of its technologies in the domains of electrification, driving assistance, lighting and the reinvention of life onboard, four domains essential to the transformation of mobility, to make it cleaner, safer and smarter, in the automobile and beyond.
The Park Lock Actuator (PLA) is an actuator used in automatic transmission (Automatic Transmission – AT, Dual Clucth Transmission – DCT, Dedicated Hybrid Transmission – DHT) or in the reducer in an electric vehicle, enabling Shift By Wire function in the parking position of the transmission. Valeo offers both electromechanical (EMA) and hydraulic (HYD) Park Lock Actuator.
Electrical Oil Pumps (EOP) are mainly used in all types of transmissions (Automatic Transmission – AT, dry or wet Dual Clutch Transmission – DCT, Dedicated Hybrid Transmission – DHT, Continuous Variable Transmission – CVT, Manual Transmission – MT, reducer) for lubrication and cooling (gears, clutches, eDrive) and in a lower proportion also for actuation (of clutches, hydraulic gear shifting, hydraulic park-lock). For both of those application fields, Valeo also offers Smart Pump, being EOP (Electric Oil Pump) with a combination of active functions.
The conventional electric car starter ensures the first cranking of the internal combustion engine (ICE). The reinforced electric starter is installed in place of a conventional starter and offers better durability to repeated stopping and starting.
The 48V iBSG* is a belt-driven reversible starter generator, which is fitted in the car engine in place of the alternator and turns the vehicle into a MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle).
BEVs often have a thin air inlet located at the bottom of the front end while the cooling needs remain high and acoustic constraints are severe. Minimizing the electrical consumption is also key to stabilizing the vehicle’s range. To address these constraits, Valeo has developped tilted cooling modules as well as an ultra flat cooling module at 210 mm in the Z axis.
Premium Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) technology helps maximizing light in all road conditions for improved comfort and safety, directing the beam of light only where it is needed and reducing glare for oncoming drivers.
The 400V inverter is the brain at the heart of the electric powertrain, it controls the electric motor. It converts Direct Current (DC) from the battery to Alternative Current (AC) to power the electric motor. It can also be used in reverse mode to charge the battery by transforming kinetic energy from the vehicle into electrical energy that can be stored in the battery. Valeo inverters are based on a scalable platform able to suit Si or SiC, for 400V & 800V. It is based on a highly standardized hardware and software architecture.
In the context of 48V network vehicles (MILD hybrids, etc.), Valeo offers 48V solutions, an evolution of our 12V technology. These products, using the same PTC stone technology, allow 48V to offer higher voltage and power. In addition, the 48V makes it possible to compensate for the shortage of energy for heating the passenger compartment while the engine heats up.

Front End Modules include Active Grille Shutters, Heat Exchanger, Radiators and a Fan System enclosed in a shroud. Front End Modules can manage the airflow at the front of the vehicle for both aerodynamic performance and cooling requirements (cabin or battery). As part of the vehicle structure, Front End Modules are also designed for crash absorption and resistance.

Surround View Camera Solutions, also known as 360-degree surround view camera systems, enhance the safety and convenience of driving.
