Located in the front cooling module, radiators are part of the cooling system.
They can be used in cooling or heating mode depending on the cooling loop (with or without heat pump).
Valeo radiators are designed for vehicles with combustion, hybrid and full electric engines. The purpose of a car radiator is to improve cooling performance and reduce energy consumption.
High voltage batteries are expensive and very sensitive to temperature variations even when the vehicle is stopped and the battery is being charged. Valeo designs and manufactures compact and cost-competitive solutions (refrigerant, liquid and air cooling) to cater for all types of powertrains: hybrids in Japan and the U.S.; plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and full electric (EV) elsewhere. For PHEVs, Valeo full exchanger solution on refrigerant is serial since 2015. For EVs, Valeo offers ultra-performing liquid battery coolers for prismatic and cylindrical Li-ion battery packs (China, the U.S. and Europe).
The Telematics unit for mainstream is introduced for mainstream applications as a comprehensive solution designed to meet regulatory requirements such as eCall, ISA, and RTM.
The Telematics Unit enables seamless communication between the vehicle and external systems. With eCall functionality, it automatically contacts emergency services in the event of an accident, providing precise location information to expedite response times and potentially save lives.
The interior radar-based occupant monitoring system represents a significant innovation in automotive safety, leveraging advanced technology to enhance passenger protection and comfort. Positioned at the top of the cabin, the interior radar utilizes sophisticated algorithms and sensors to analyze the cabin context effectively. This analysis enables the system to detect the presence of living beings in the car, including newborns and children up to six years old, ensuring their safety during travel, as well as animals.
The 48V eMotor (electric motor) is a reversible electric machine, which embeddes its electronic (inverter) and which is able to be integrated on all architectures beyond P0 (belt). The electrical motor can be positioned either on the input shaft of the gearbox (P2 outside, P2.5 inside), on the output shaft of the gearbox (P3) or with a gearbox (eDrive) on the rear axle drivetrain (P4).
Valeo offers a range of sensors for the automotive industry combining pressure and temperature measurements to address the evolution of regulations, in particular regarding temperature control with new environment friendly refrigerent fluids.
Valeo’s latest generations of 12V alternators are developed with high-quality components improving reliability, comfort and efficiency for a longer life span. The 12V EG* efficiency alternator features synchronous rectifying based on MOSFET and is able to almost eliminate the voltage drop during the electric current rectifying.

As part of the engine cooling system, fan systems include a fan system motor, a blade and a shroud.
Electrification and new ICE require greater fan system power and therefore higher energy consumption that generate higher noise levels.
Blade and shroud design have been improved to optimize acoustics and efficiency whilst light and compact brushless motors provide maximum airflow at minimized noise levels for powertrain/battery cooling, with best-in-class efficiency.
Drawing on Valeo’s hardware and software expertise, Valeo Smart Safety 360 is a turnkey driver assistance system (ADAS), offering a wide range of safety as well as driving and parking assistance functions.
With the smart front camera used as the system’s central computer, Valeo Smart Safety 360 is an integrated and affordable system approach, connecting ultrasonic sensors, radars, and a camera for driver monitoring functionality.
The 400V inverter is the brain at the heart of the electric powertrain, it controls the electric motor. It converts Direct Current (DC) from the battery to Alternative Current (AC) to power the electric motor. It can also be used in reverse mode to charge the battery by transforming kinetic energy from the vehicle into electrical energy that can be stored in the battery. Valeo inverters are based on a scalable platform able to suit Si or SiC, for 400V & 800V. It is based on a highly standardized hardware and software architecture.
